Unix
One of the major computer operating systems, Unix is often used on web servers. Unix is very versatile and is compatible with almost every current computer system. Unix forms the basis of many other popular operating systems such as AIX, Linux and Solaris. See also: Linux
URL
Uniform Resource Locator. URLs indicate the location of a file or resource on the Internet. The URL is displayed in a browser's location toolbar and shows the type of data, the domain name and the path to the displayed file. Common data types include http, gopher, ftp and telnet.
